About DS Arts

Hello! My name is Debi Smerdon. I was fortunate to grow up in a home where art was a part of everyday life and always accessible to me. My sisters and I were encouraged to create and problem solve using the skills and materials that were made available to us.  

For over twenty years, I have been teaching art to children and adults in the Imperial Valley. Sharing what I know about painting and other art media has been one of my greatest joys.

Our students can be as young as four, or in their nineties. But with any age, engaging in creative art projects and activities helps people relax, find balance and problem solve. This is always a good thing.
